Maywood has 2 exits off of the I-290 (1st ave & 9th ave). The I-290 will take you directly to downtown Chicago or to the suburbs.

  • Firehouse 511 was a beautifully renovated firehouse with great attention to detail. The space was thoughtfully designed, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we appreciated how well-stocked and clean everything was. Its location was perfect—just a short walk to the train station, which made our day trip to Chicago super convenient. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

  • The firehouse was like a dream. It was even more beautiful than the pictures! We stayed for four nights and wished it could have been longer. The kitchen is set up with everything you could possibly need. There were plenty of towels and the beds were comfy. We loved all the history that was included in the house from pictures to a great book about the original fire house. I was a little worried about noise when I saw just how close we were to the train tracks, but it never bothered us at all while we were sleeping. The host was kind and helpful before, during, and after our stay. Don't hesitate to book this one. It is a true gem!

  • The space was perfect for our workshop. It has a neutral color palette and great light which is perfect for photos and the environment we were trying to create with our group. There are so many beautiful background options for headshots or staged photos. The TV set up was easy to use for each of our presentations. Would definitely recommend for workshops, intimate group gatherings, and is a space that is perfect for photography and content creation.
